MYSA Coaching Certifications

State Requirements for Coaches and Team Managers

Just like player registrations, volunteers must also register in our SCCYSA system each season (fall and spring).  If you have not taken this step, please do so now.  You will not be assigned to a team or be sent any coaching information from SCCYSA until you are registered.

At the state level, all Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Team Managers must complete the following elements:

1. MYSA Background Check- Complete only ONCE per seasonal year (Seasonal year= Fall and the following Spring)
2. CDC Online Concussion Protocol- Complete one time
3. Safesport Risk Management Certification- Complete one time

Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches must also complete:

4. Coaching License (Foundations of Coaching is a minimum)- Complete one time
