General Referee Information

Referees are responsible for rule enforcement and ensuring the safety of all players. This includes making sure that the correct equipment is being used (shinguards are mandatory) & no jewelry is worn.  The decision of the referee is final.  Arguing with, yelling at, or abusing the referee is never tolerated by players, coaches or spectators. Offenders can be required to leave the field of play and will be reported to SCCYSA.

SCCYSA only uses Certified referees. Becoming a referee does not take a great deal of time and is a great way to be involved with and promote soccer. Referees at all levels work for SCCYSA and all of our referees are paid weekly. We would encourage anyone interested to give it a try!
