Referees are responsible for rule enforcement and ensuring the safety of all players. This includes making sure that the proper equipment is being used such as shin guards which are mandatory or jewelry which is not allowed in accordance with FIFA.
Decision made by referees during matches should be considered final and arguing with, yelling at, or abusing the referee is never tolerated from players, coaches or spectators. Offenders can be required to leave the field of play (technical area and spectator area) and should be reported to SCCYSA.
